When I was a kid, I wasn’t allowed to explore astrology because it conflicted with my family’s religious beliefs, but that never stopped me from sneaking my mom’s magazines to read my horoscope.

I’ve loved the stars for as long as I can remember, and the idea that they had something to say about me was both fascinating and comforting, especially growing up in a restrictive and challenging environment. It made me feel like I was part of something bigger and that there was more to the world than what I saw around me.

Today, as a professional astrologer, I help people understand their soul’s purpose through their birth chart. It’s a journey that’s come a long way from where I began, but it feels deeply aligned with who I am.

Becoming an Astrologer

I vividly remember the moment I decided to study astrology formally. I had already earned certifications in Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), but something was still missing. I knew there was something else I was meant to learn and use along with these modalities, but I wasn’t sure what. 

That feeling persisted until one day, during a session with my therapist, I shared my confusion. I was struggling to understand how to put the pieces of my life together after my mom’s passing. 

I was in the midst of an identity shift—no longer who I was, not yet who I was becoming—and I needed clarity on what I was supposed to do next. That’s when it hit me.

We talked about how, growing up, I wasn’t allowed to explore things like astrology. But now, having worked through that old programming and freed myself from the religious conditioning of my past, there was actually nothing holding me back from fully embracing astrology. 

It was like a lightbulb moment, one that made my inner child so happy. Finally, she was free to explore one of her favorite things openly, without fear or restriction.

I immediately found a school, enrolled, and the rest, as they say, is history. But it was learning about the North Node that truly changed everything for me. 

For all of us, the North Node represents our guiding light and soul’s purpose. For me, the North Node in my chart happens to be placed in a way that connects deeply to every part of my life—my purpose, career, and personal life are all intertwined. 

Understanding this brought me immense relief, as I had always known these things about myself but never had the language to confirm or express that knowing. It helped me make sense of the struggles and challenges I had faced, allowing me to see the deeper meaning behind my experiences.

Astrology Is All About Energy

Astrology beautifully illustrates the principle of “as above, so below,” reflecting the relationship between the energies of the cosmos and our experiences here on Earth. As I began studying astrology more deeply, I discovered just how much insight it could offer into the patterns, challenges, and opportunities unfolding throughout our lives.

I approach astrology from an evolutionary and karmic perspective. The planets are wise teachers, each representing different aspects of our development, while the zodiac signs describe the energies we’re learning to understand and embody.
